Sunil Das (b. 1939)
Sunil Das enjoys a strong position among the front ranking painters of India. His eternally favourite bull and horse play a very important role in his paintings and were instrumental in his rise to prominence. An indefatigable painter, Das has jumped from one style to another easily in the past four decades, be it the bulls, the horses, the binodhini series, but each of them was marked with supreme skill and a sense of integrity which characterize the artist.
